A Bit About Us

Written by Administrator on 17 March 2011.

The Games Exchange Ltd originally started out in the early 90’s as a Sunday car boot stall in Leasowe on the Wirral selling budget music CD’s.

We then expanded our range to cover music and vhs video serving from market stalls at local towns like Mold, Neston, Runcorn.

Along the way VHS became DVD and began to include video games for which we offered a trade in option for people to change over their used games.

We opened our first shop in Flint in September 1999, it was small and compact but big enough for starting out and is still there today.

We opened our second store in Rhyl in October 2002. In October 2007 we moved the store into our larger current premises where we have over 1500 square feet full of surprises.

Our third store opened in April 2013 at Colwyn Bay a little further down the coast. It’s conveniently located just 2 minutes walk up from the railway station.

In all 3 stores you will find a great selection of new and used games from our core range of PS3, PSVita, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii , Wii-U, DS, & 3DS. Also in all stores you will find a range of mobile phones, ipods, tablets & laptops.

At Rhyl and Colwyn Bay you will also find DVD/Bluray, trading cards, posters, models and figures.

Rhyl also stocks HD-tvs, Cameras, T-shirts, Games workshop and other merchandise.

Looking back we have seen much competition for what we do come and go. Why we have lasted the test of time you will have to ask our customers.

Looking forward we are excited to be bringing you our family friendly service and even more products through not only our stores but different outlets like this website, Ebay and Amazon.
